Lola Ricci » About Corrective Color

What is Corrective Color?
Corrective color is a process that must be performed by an a professional stylist in order to correct damage by a color service gone wrong. This can vary from something as simple as correcting a shade (such as you ended up a platinum blonde when you wanted to be a honey blonde) to something extreme such as strengthening your hair after a chemical was left on it too long and it's now beginning to break off in your hair brush. Perhaps you decided to save a few bucks and color your hair at home and it went terribly wrong.
Many factors contribute to a color service not having desired results. Those who decide to try to color their hair at home may not realize that their hair may be more porous than others and will absorb more color than the average person. A color service gone wrong can also result in a salon from an inexperienced color stylist who doesn't have the knowledge and skill required to make good judgments based on your specific hair type.
There is not a set price for corrective color simply because every case is different. The cost is determined by the amount of work required to correct the damage and achieve the desired results.
